King Kohli and his attitude!!

The former Indian skipper is often called as King Kohli by his revered fans.

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were involved in a verbal spat after the conclusion of the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants low-scoring contest in match 43 of the TATA IPL 2023.

This is not the first time these two revered Indian cricketers have engaged in a fierce conversation.

Kohli and Gambhir were involved in similar combat during an IPL game in 2013 when Virat was leading RCB and Gambir was then leading KKR.

One of the most important life lessons I picked up from Virat Kohli is to

"Be yourself and adopt the outlook that enables you to be your best self."

It is important to applaud Kohli for his unconventional attitude on the pitch because he has given his fans new insight throughout time.

I want to divide Indian cricket into the pre-Kohli era and the Kohli era.

Earlier than Kohli arrived and even during Kohli's formative years in Indian cricket. I recall seeing many renowned commentators, like Harsha Bhogle, Ravi Shastri, and Mark Nicholas, refer to cricket as a gentleman's game.

Whenever anyone, particularly Indians, deviated slightly from the norm, pundits would criticize them.

Kohli was praised for his great talent during his early twenties, although he was frequently told to rein in his aggressive tendencies.

Only then would he be a great player comparable to India's Sachins, Dravids, and Gangulys.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli continued to score centuries after centuries with the same combative attitude regardless of what people thought of it.

There was a point in the 1990s and 2000s when Australian players employed bullying towards Indian players as a method to destabilize their mentality while playing the game.

Since Virat took over as the Indian captain, however, everything has changed.

Now, thanks to Virat's attitude, the powerful Australians refrain from engaging in verbal sparring with the Indian players.

The entire perception of how the game has been played in India has changed because to Virat Kohli.

He has also influenced a new philosophy that suggests adopting a mindset that brings out the best in you rather than slavishly adopting the mindset of successful players.

I'm not advocating that everyone adopts Kohli's outlook, but if it works for him, he ought to stick with it.

In a similar vein, whatever brings out the best in us should be followed regardless of what others think or say.

Coming to the game between LSG and RCB, In the second half of the inning, Kohli got fired up right away (Don't know what he had between the innings).

In the past three years of the IPL, I have never seen him this fired up.

I last witnessed Kohli cross the line in an IPL game was in 2020 against Surya Kumar Yadav.

On the pitch, Kohli has every right to be fired up and to celebrate in the same manner that he does when a wicket is taken. And similar events of this nature are become commonplace.

However, I have never witnessed a member of the support staff celebrate in such an extravagant manner as Gambhir did against RCB in the previous game after Lucknow won the game on the last ball thriller.

Gambhir has already displayed animation. Gautam Gambhir is renowned for always maintaining a neutral expression, but after his team defeats Kohli and Dhoni's team, he cracks up.

Gambhir must keep in mind that he is no longer a player and must respect his boundaries.

Having said that, Gautam Gambhir has every right to show his emotions,

But, as a support staff, Gauti's role should be within the team, not beyond it is my opinion.

I have huge respect for Gautam and loved his attitude, especially when he was leading KKR.

However, as a support staff, I still believe he cannot show anger after the match to the opposition team players.
