King Kohli and his attitude!!
"Be yourself and adopt the outlook that enables you to be your best self."
It is important to applaud Kohli for his unconventional attitude on the pitch
because he has given his fans new insight throughout time.
I want to divide
Indian cricket into the pre-Kohli era and the Kohli era.
Earlier than Kohli arrived and even during Kohli's formative years in Indian
cricket. I recall seeing many renowned commentators, like Harsha Bhogle, Ravi
Shastri, and Mark Nicholas, refer to cricket as a gentleman's game.
Whenever anyone, particularly Indians, deviated slightly from the norm, pundits
would criticize them.
Kohli was praised for his great talent during his early twenties, although he
was frequently told to rein in his aggressive tendencies.
Only then would he be a great player comparable to India's Sachins, Dravids,
and Gangulys.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli continued to score centuries after centuries with the
same combative attitude regardless of what people thought of it.
There was a point in the 1990s and 2000s when Australian players employed
bullying towards Indian players as a method to destabilize their mentality
while playing the game.
Since Virat took over as the Indian captain, however, everything has changed.
Now, thanks to Virat's attitude, the powerful Australians refrain from engaging
in verbal sparring with the Indian players.
He has also influenced a new philosophy that suggests adopting a mindset that brings out the best in you rather than slavishly adopting the mindset of successful players.
I'm not advocating that everyone adopts Kohli's outlook, but if it works for him, he ought to stick with it.
I have huge respect for Gautam and loved his attitude, especially when he was
leading KKR.
However, as a support staff, I still believe he cannot show anger after
the match to the opposition team players.
