Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals have been languishing at the bottom of the points table and are locking horns in an evening game at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad

David Warner

Warner has played most of his IPL matches at Hyderabad having captained the franchise for six seasons. Warner has scored 1602 runs at an average of 66.75 in 31 innings, scoring three centuries and fifteen fifties at Hyderabad. 

Last year, Warner scored a pumped-up 92 against SRH. Given the outcast, he faced in 2021 from SRH management. Warner has a point to prove against his previous franchise in today's encounter.

Axar Patel

Apart from Warner, Axar Patel is a consistent player for Delhi Capitals. He has been scoring consistently with the bat. But with the ball, but he hasn't come to the party as he would have liked. 

However, today with a slew of right-handers in the Sunrisers lineup, Axar is expected to bowl in the power-play to counter Harry Brook. 

Aiden Markram

A good player of spin, Markram comes in four for SRH and bats at a strike rate of 157.14 in this IPL so far. He also bowls a couple of overs when lefties are around, sometimes he even comes before Washington Sundar, a designated off-spinner in the team who hasn't been largely utilized.


Rahul Tripathi

Generally called an intent machine, Rahul Tripathi hasn't had a good last 2-3 games, However, the SRH team would be hoping for him to come well today to counter Delhi spin duo, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav.

Tripathi last scored a match-winning knock of 74 against Punjab Kings when the pitch was turning and slow. Today could be Tripathi's day if he can attack effectively Delhi's spin duo.

Anrich Nortje

Nortje has been Warner's go-to bowler at the start as well as at the death, Nortje has been picking wickets regularly for Delhi on all phases of the game. It is impertinent to have him on your team.

Kuldeep Yadav

If the pitch has some turn, Kuldeep Yadav will come into play and he might trouble the struggling Sunriser's middle order. 

Warner has been using him off late in the second half of the innings, which would mean, Kuldeep can pick some wickets when batters go after him.

After returning back from his marriage, Mitchell Marsh hasn't made any telling contributions to Delhi Capitals with the bat.
